thank you for posting this—i think it's so easy to fall into the trap of putting people we admire (especially celebrities and artists) on a pedestal, but at the end of the day, they're human just like the rest of us. i agree that people can get carried away with the things that they say about him, and it's good to keep in mind what we are saying and posting as we navigate the space here :))

the last few years have been hard for me just finding myself and figuring out what people i want to surround myself with— Jon’s words have helped me every step of the way and have helped me truly discover myself and the kind of person i strive to be. at the beginning of my journey, i wasn’t sure how i felt about God or if I believed He was even real, but Jon’s music helped erase my doubts and opened my eyes to who God really is and i haven’t turned back since

this is honestly a really good question. for me i’d have to say, “when you’re lost in the universe, don’t lose faith.” it really struck me when i first heard it, and now whenever i face a challenge in my life or feel like i’m falling—i remind myself to hold on to my faith

i could totally see you writing something highlighting culture w THC—for example, Morning In America touches on a multitude of things, including America’s drug problem especially w kids in high school, parental problems, high expectations, addiction, etc.
Fashion talks about society’s obsession with materialistic things and possessions; “might be gold, but that shit’s still a chain”
New York Soul - Pt. ii gets into how money isn’t everything contrary to what the world will try to tell you, also the line “i had a conversation with an angel she told me i’d cheat death if i stayed away from the party life” could be expanded on
Woke The F*ck Up also gets into themes about how “we live in an age where everything is staged where all we do is fake our feelings” with the internet and everything seems so disingenuous and unauthentic
Hand Of God - Outro gets into the complexities of grief and the effects that it can have on people and the choices they make

anyway, that’s my two cents! i’d love to see whatever you do decide to write :))
