That's how I've been trying to work around it. I just wanna "like" everything that people post lol

I've been ok, too. Work is busy (and drama filled, I work at a University). I volunteer a lot and am in charge of a committee that does service projects so that's been both stressful and rewarding. And just life in general.

I try to balance out work/commitments and time for "me." Honestly this forum has been a great new addition to my daily life. I am forever a millennial child of the internet so spaces like this are so comforting to me and I often feel like I've been chasing the high that these forums/message boards bring.

In all, life is ok right now.

I check Mercari every couple of weeks (when I remember) and have yet to see Growth at an affordable price. Though at this rate, I may just snag it at any price...

I can't listen to this song unless I'm in the right headspace. I lost my mom 6 yrs ago on Saturday and while she was in a coma, I took on this caregiver role of her in ICU. Though not dementia, I have always prayed that God has shared with her what I did, how I loved her, and I hope that she's witnessing the "house I take care of" as I've moved home to be with my father. You're absolutely right, at some point we may be called to take care of our parents.

I saw in another thread about reaching out to our parents, to just say we love them.

This was like 2015/2016. We were talking about music because he produces a bit (super small) and he was like "Hey I think you'll like this..." and he played Hand of God. I was hooked. Then when I listened to all of THC from start to finish and saw the whole magnitude of that album, I lost it even more.

That guy and I are still friends to this day and we keep up with each other's lives and will talk about Jon any time he drops a new track or cowrites something. I'm so grateful for that friendship- and for discovering Jon- as ridiculous as it was.
