Personally I feel it was a form of expression to not mix it as well as he could, i mean this is THE Jon Bellion we are talking about. If he wanted it to sound flawless he would have. He's a kid again, he's not the professional yet.

@Desentis we don't "deserve" anything other than what he chooses to share with us. But yeah, I agree that the strings sounded gorgeous in the making of and then I could barely tell they were there in the released version. The song still bangs so it's not the end of the world.
Tbh I thought maybe he'd use the strings from the making of as an intro/interlude leading into Kid Again, similar to Kanye's All of the Lights string interlude. Jon also produced a similar track on Tori Kelly's album, I think it's call purple hearts interlude... It's a beautiful piece of music. I could see him doing something similar on his own album

@UrMomNoZa all good. I just don't think the mix sounds bad that's all. Even if I did, I don't think Jon would make it sound bad on purpose.
