Musical Growth and Regrets

Hi Jon @User12261990 I hope you’re doing okay and get the chance to see this. As someone who’s been a supporter of yours since Translation Through Speakers I’ve witnessed (and heard lol) a lot of growth in your music and production. That being said, i wanted to ask is there any record you’ve made previously that you think you’ve outgrown? Or maybe a song you wouldn’t perform again? If yes, which?
You don’t have to hate it and I know they all contributed to where you are now, but I know sometimes artistes hear their old songs and cringe
I was just curious if there’s any you listen to now and go “yikes thats on the album huh”.
Love from Jamaica
🤍
Although I guess if I knew tomorrow
I guess I wouldn't need faith
I guess if I never fell, I guess I wouldn't need grace
I guess if I knew His plans, I guess He wouldn't be God, God, God -
@Isaac I hope so too! I’d love to know.

this is such a fun question actually—it’s cool to see how artists grow over time and how their interests and perspectives change abt music
@its_nat07 yea it’s super cool to me! The best example i have is Louis Tomlinson from 1D. I’ve loved all the boys since they began but when they separated and started making diff stuff, Louis always talked about his first album being experimental because he was afraid of diving straight into his preferred (and current sound). I love both albums but they’re sooooo different and there are songs from the first that he doesn’t really care for now.

@tiachante_ omg yeah, it’s so cool to see their thought processes and different approaches to the music as time goes on :)) that’s a great example, i’d have to check out his stuff
