What keeps people from following their dreams?

I'd like to know from you guys what you think are the top 5 things that keep people from following through on their God-given (or whatever you wanna call them) dreams. A part of me hopes Jon will reply too lol

For me my biggest dream in life is to study sharks. and well college has been quite hard for me and i live in the middle of georgia with no oceans. but im not necessarily giving up i just hit pause for now

i struggle with this myself—often we are our worst enemy and believe that we aren’t capable of achieving or accomplishing what we want to
and so we hold ourselves back in fear that we aren’t good enough to do what it is we dream to do

@LuvJB85 the good thing is—it’s never too late to make new goals and forge our mindset to encourage ourselves and push us forward rather than allowing ourselves to continue to hold ourselves back :)) it’s never too late to start chasing ur dreams

@trimusic77 I managed to achieve the career I wanted but my biggest obstacle throughout the whole thing was self doubt. I was lucky enough to have supportive friends during the difficult classes and long nights at the library but sometimes it's your own doubts that hurt your dreams

reflecting on my own life and reflecting on my work (I work with people for a living) I thinks

1. Fear of change
2. Self doubt
3. Socioeconomic factors
   Its hard to think of two more reasons as everything I can think of broadly falls into the 3 points

@trimusic77 man it really just depends like they’re one of the greatest predators. how they all evolved into their own unique species. and scientists are still discovering different types of species and sub species. just a crazy concept to me lol. there’s so much of the ocean unexplored yk
