Someone told me to listen to Trumpets by Jason Derulo and I instantly thought it must be Jon’s work

This is one of my favourite JB songs!! I believe it is mostly improvised/filler sounds to fit the melody - the lyrics weren’t finished.

You can hear JB do similar ‘mumble lyrics’ in some Making Of videos while he is working out the exact words he wants to use.

Fallen is my fave - I also love 1990!!!
