@danpurcell when i started it last year i was like "i KNOW ive heard this man's voice but WHY can't i place it???" so i googled him and obviously some stood out but when i saw piccolo's name after having heard adult swim so much, ESPECIALLY during the beginning of me starting OP i thought it was so cool to see the connections!

@Zeonder to be fair i never made it passed season 2 of dragon ball outside broly because at the time i was still very new to anime and wanted to explore shorter shows, one piece is the longest i've watched so far & it's kinda cool to now go to adult swim and know the voice actor even more

this is gonna sound crazy, but the human condition reminds me of manifesting tbh. like yes, we exist, but so much bigger things exist through us and it's ok to not ALWAYS know the answers as long as you still believe in something, even if you can't physically SEE what that something and having faith that things will work out however you assume they will

is there any shows, movies or other artists jon has introduced you to? in april 2018 i decided to get into anime and i started with dragon ball because i kept seeing jon wearing merch so i thought why not? it lead me to see broly in theaters FOR Jon's character lol & then i started one piece last year & zoro's voice was soooo familiar & i couldn't place it until i listened to adult swim for the 1000 time & realized he has the same voice actor as piccolo so now the song is even more important to me because zoro is my fave OP character & his VA is connected to jon in a way

@Amariez10585 i'm from jersey and every time i say he's from new york or goes to new york and philly for past concerts they'd look at me like i had a 3rd eye! the amount of times id play new your soul parts 1 & 2 just for them to get slightly into him and his new york pride is crazy

i agree, you kinda just get a feeling. before i knew he wrote ghost and holy, i was like "wait, this sounds EXACTLY like something jon would sing/cover/write" especially after having seen him live for human condition part iii & gsp, there's just something about how the lyrics are written, no matter who ends singing, that just makes it CLICK that it was him
