@Rose I know, this was more for us to keep conversations going and keep the excitement up because it was just something I noticed. Nothing on Jon at all, he needs his space and time. It’s been 6 years, I can keep waiting another 6 years if we need to. It was coincidental he posted soon after I did. @FrankieFeelsIt made me laugh saying it was like I summoned him. @Zeonder yeah being older now I’ve been more accepting of who I am and relearning myself now that I’ve gotten a diagnosis. It definitely makes everything going on in my head make sense, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t frustrating lolol!

@kozmikblooz same! I force myself to take photos because there’s pictures I wish I had of family but I don’t because they were the same way. So I try to push myself so my kid and possible grandkids don’t have to feel that way.

Anyone else go into fight or flight mode with trying to be social online? I love this forum and the community that we’re building, but being autistic with ADHD and childhood trauma sometimes makes me go into panic mode grasping on to every grain of approval or acceptance. You post something with good intentions and based on the replies you think oh no that’s not the tone or response I was expecting. Vice versa, since we aren’t speaking with our voices I can’t tell if that’s actually your tone I hear in my head so I just automatically assume the worst even though it’s not that way at all. I’m just trying to make friends and my brain is fighting a battle with me. Being neurospicy is great guys.
