I remember hearing "Waves of loneliness" and going "wow, so he's a ~storyteller~ first and a singer second."
The way the story, music, his voice all came together to create the perfect mix of the song that I'm still in awe of even 12 years later...

I come from a small country (Kyrgyzstan, Central Asia), and Jon's sound (especially back in 2013) is definitely unique. Even now, as I play his music to my fiance, to my friends and family, even to my students (I am a teacher) - I know what everyone is going to ask once the first song is over: "what genre is this?" and we all know that sonically, he's a genius, but it's his lyrics and his delivery that make him stand out.

What is it for you that makes him different from any other artist in the world?
