Has anyone else here been inspired by jon to make music? i started listening to jon bellion when i was around 12 or 13 (im 18 now). i came across his BTS videos and they changed my life. i’ve always played music but never thought i could combine all the instruments i know to make a full song. the MPC drum pad, the raw sounds from his voice, combining VSTs to create the most unique sounding sound ive ever heard. it was just all so amazing to me. and i recommend those videos to everyone. on top of that everything he did felt intentional yet free styled.

anyway, i just wanted to thank you jon bellion for inspiring me to plunge into something i genuinely love doing. it has helped me express many things about myself.

What about Jon’s music do you love the most? i know we love JB songs because a combination of things but what’s YOUR favorite part of Jon Bellion’s music that first got you hooked? Sound Design? Lyrics? Vocals? Drum Pockets?

For me it was the way he uses his vocal effects and used his own voice as an instrument. it was something i’ve never seen before in music.

What’s y’all’s favorite jb song to sing along to? I love so many jb songs but the song i sing to the most is surprisingly Kingdom Come haha

@Cassie this might be just a music producer thing but i absolutely can’t stand the new wave of quick/cheap rap that’s being pumped out nowadays. and the whole beat culture where they make a beat in 5 minutes, call it fire and it ends up making them millions of money. music without passion and thought is just plain garbage to me ‍️

@jmckinney4123 yess 100%. i’ve fully memorized so many jb songs and luxury is one of my top 3. mostly because of the BTS videos when i watched it when i was younger. eyes to the sky is so good too, it boosts my mood.

@Zeonder i hope he releases a new kid again with the acoustic piano and and strings more forward in the mix. sounded sooooo amazing in the bts
