What do you want to dive in onFor CWMW, what are some of the vocal parameters you used to get that beautful child-like choir effect on the vocals in the chorus? It moves me to tears almost every time I listen to it, and I feel like you processed the vocal in a very intentional manner to get across that feeling of somber exasperation that comes through "im so ready to run from the spotlight". Just wondering about your thoughts behind heading in that direction with the vocal there and how you managed to pull it off.
-
What do you want to dive in onI've got some questions about "TORI"/"Purple Skies"; it was an unbelievable
album, and going to see her live in Charlotte in October was such an amazing experience.
-
What were your inspirations for the sonic of the album? Specifically talking about stuff like the warbly synths from "spruce" or the watery/soupiness of "young gun;" was Japanese hyper-pop/synthwave on your radar when sculpting the album's sound?
-
The purple skies interlude was GORGEOUS and I can hear you trying to flex those cinematic scoring chops: are you still aiming to score a Pixar movie, or any film in general?
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to ask you about stuff we're dying to know about!
All the best, -

cove city poster artI, for one, would LOVE to see you revisit these! Beautiful stuff, really. I love the innocent, playful nature of these and they ring very true with Jon's THC art style (Weight of the World, Guillotine Acoustic, etc.)

Designed a "Kid Again" posterThis is SO HARD seriously, great stuff

What Is Your Favorite Jon Bellion Song?@viccomusic honestly fantastic points. The Definition really shaped how I hear melodies and incorporate them into my songs to this day. Every single song is a treat, a journey, an inspiration, and I could never truly pick one as my favorite. Jon is really a special creative to say the least.

What Is Your Favorite Jon Bellion Song?Impossible to just pick one, but Conversations With My Wife has to be it for me at the moment. It's sonically revolutionary, lays the thematic and sound foundation for GSP immaculately. I've never witnessed a record introduce an album as perfectly as CWMW. The synth soundscape, the pads, the vocal production backed with harmony-engine-esque BGVs (very Bon Iver 715 CR∑∑KS), the child-like choir that I still have NO idea how Jon and the team managed to pull off, the absolutely breathtaking musical break at the end of the track which needs no further explanation. Could be the most beautiful song ever made. Jon successfully gave us a look into what music might sound like in 3000 years with this one.

“Beautiful Mind” Colored Pencil Drawing@crvptozoology thank you! I'm honored, I loved the work you did for Jon too! GSP Virtual Tour art was my lockscreen for quite a while

What do you want to dive in on@User12261990 Okay! I've always been super interested in the processing behind your beatboxing/mouth noises that you include in your tracks. Particularly how you work them into the percussion of your record, i.e Woodstock or Overwhelming; EQing, recording, mixing, etc, basically any clue into how you get your iconic vocal percussion/ear candy to sound so distinct and blend so well into your records would be super cool!

classic reworkJon we need a beanie. We need a beanie STAT.
