I would say luxury by Jon. Although his others like hand of God and Stupid Deep are really good choices too, I always feel luxury really grasps the message of contentment which I feel is a topic that many people especially in Jon’s industry fail to cover or reflect on. It’s a song that always makes me reflect, appreciate, and remind myself things are in Gods hands.

Songs that God really speaks to you through :) -
JB Fans - what’s your music pet peeveI couldn’t agree more. Jon’s lyrics have seemed more more in depth and personal, but there are many songs out there now days that’s have very generic and superficial lyrics. I hope that the music will combat this enough to make me invested in the song, but if both the lyrics and the music isn’t doing it for me, it automatically is in the “meh” pile.

JB Fans - what’s your music pet peeve@gunki I agree. That’s a good way to describe the lack of musical interest for me. People are so quick to produce a beat but then that beat is close to the only music in the entire song. Mix that with generic lyrics and I just couldn’t stay interested in the song. I think that’s one of the main reasons I got into JB. his music is and was constantly keeping me hooked throughout the entire song and his lyrics were so great that even now I still find myself analyzing them even after listening a countless amount of times.

JB Fans - what’s your music pet peeve@Amariez10585 I completely agree. Stupid deep is just one example of a song that really hits me hard whenever I listen to it. It’s deep and direct and I think everyone can relate to it on one level or another. It’s a super impactful song for me, even to this day.

JB Fans - what’s your music pet peeveWas curious if any of you have any things that you love in a song/music versus absolutely hate that immediately make the song a dislike (or at least not a favorite)
For example, I love most songs that have a clear piano or strings included. I’m also a fan of songs to be musically interesting rather than just lyrically. I know that sounds very vague but it is hard for me to describe. I was curious if you all had other music pet peeves or preferences! I think it would be fun to share them!

Jon awakened my faith in God and myselfI’m so glad and happy for you that you were led to God through JBs music. I hope and pray that you have healed or will continue to heal through those events. JBs music was the first time I remember listening to an artist and hearing their faith and beliefs trickled throughout their music rather than being straight worship/christian music. It was always like if you weren’t paying attention to the lyrics you would miss the hidden meaning and I think sometimes that is more impactful.

Other favorite artistsI’ve never heard of Tash Sultana but will have to give a listen. I go through phases of new favorite artists/songs all the time (aside from JB). Currently I’m listening to a lot of The Wrecks or NF in addition to some older TØP songs

Tour stop suggestionIf you’re planning on touring, I would LOVE it if you did multiple midwest stops!! I can’t tell you how many times I look at artists’ tour stops only to be disappointed they have so few stops in the Midwest that if I want to go bad enough it would make more sense to book a flight!
For the record, I’ve already told my fiance we are flying however far if you do decide to do a live show, but having something within driving distance would be awesome!!!

My fan art/storyI will never claim to be a great artist, but I do love to do it for fun. I decided to do a fanart of Jon back in high school because he has been such an inspiration for me and his music has been with me throughout some of the biggest moments in my life. I saw the world differently and appreciated life and music differently. Because of all of this, his music will also be a part of my next phase of life, where I will walk down the aisle to his song at my wedding.
