When I first heard Jonny B, I walked in on my roommate listening to Eyes to the Sky with a color-changing bulb set to Cyan. That started my obsession with the big dog, but it also started a long-standing tradition between me and my friends to pick a color that best represents whatever song might be playing.

So I ask you, dear reader, what are your favorite song and color associations for Jonathan Bellion's discography? Other examples that I love are:

In 2019, I lived with a buddy who loved and appreciated music the same way I did. At that time (and to this day), I was mostly into old-school folk and soft rock from the 60s and 70s. One day, I went into our garage (which was the designated hangout spot at the time) to jam on some guitar and enjoy the soft cushion of a raggedy old couch we picked up on a street corner earlier that year.

My roommate had not only beaten me to the couch, but he had also replaced the single light fixture in the garage with a color-changing bulb. He was listening to music on a shitty old JBL speaker.

The color of the room was cyan. The song was Eyes to the Sky.

I was sold. Instantly.

Was I late to the party? Yes. Like, just missed out kind of late. But I suppose that was okay, because I had a LOT of catching up to do.

But I'm all caught up now.
