For me, it's Stupid Deep.
When I first heard it, I was in my first semester of freshman year at college and, although I thought I related to and understood the song deeply at that point, I could never have predicted how much more I'd understand it and relate to it years down the road.
It's beautiful to me how as you grow and experience life, good and bad, a song you love and the meaning behind it can grow with you. Even a song as lyrically "simple" as stupid deep. Even the complexity in the simplicity seems to have more meaning to me now after experiencing six more years of life.
Do y'all have a song of Jon's that you've grown with since you first heard it? Meanings of songs that have evolved as you've experienced life? Would love to hear

Mah’s Joint. “When my mother was a mother to her mum”. Wow. Just wow. Those words hit deep, stupid deep. Haha see what I did there? Late on the forum for me now maybe time to sleep.

And see exactly what you did there, good one

I would say Mah's Joint, although Stupid deep was the first song that i heard from Jon and it appeared right when i needed it the most, I feel like Mah's Joint speaks directly to the soul and makes me appreciate the privilege that has been being able to spend time with mom and dad

Maybe IDK- every time I hear it it eases my soul, especially when I feel lost.

Weight of the World for sure; the idea that God can take all your sorrows and your doom off you in more appealing now that I’m a bit older

Honestly, all of “The Human Condition” is near to my soul. Some of the most resounding are Kingdom Come, Fashion, Good in Me, & Crop Circles.

Definitely MAYBE, IDK. I understood the song when I was 12, but the older I get the more it resonates with me.

The Internet is another for me. So much focus in the world on showing off your life even if it’s a lie instead of just enjoying and living your life

So many songs hard to choose one! Overwhelming is what got me into his music but I grew so close with Eyes To The Sky once I dove more into his music in 2016

Luxury, Mah's Joint, and Stupid Deep. Whether due to life experience or just embracing the humanity of these songs
