Stupid Deep. Never have I had a song read my mail like when I first heard this song while living in Sydney. It continues to anchor me, reminding me of my humanity.

You can only pick ONE. What is it and why?

The fact this song comes at the end of human condition, it’s the culmination of the epitome of storytelling. It’s a simple but profound truth that through it all and in spite of it all “don’t lose faith” because my whole life is in the hand of God.
Fingerprint of YHWH is on that song!

Like my fellow commenters, picking only one song is a crime. Ever since I started listening to Jon, I've held a special connection with Fashion. The vocals, instrumental, and lyrics are definitive to my relationship with his music.
Going through the motions of life and developing a distaste for the superficial motivations of our society, Jon's music has always been a voice of solidarity for me.
"Still, I gotta go bigger. Fuckin' go figure."

Guillotine is such an underrated piece of art.
It truly feels like a prisoner walking towards his execution and his last thoughts are of a lover that set his soul ablaze.I remember when Jon played in St. Louis back in 2017 and the entire venue all got into saying “YEE” during the song

For me it propably has to be "Guillotine". The lyrics are so wholesome, and I have always liked the way Jon's voice sounds like when he is singing more tenderly. I don't know enough about music to praise all the other things he did with the track but it is full of all kinds of neat things that my ears like

Jon doesn’t miss so this is very hard!! My wife walked down the aisle at our wedding to blu (acoustic) so I would say that it has a special place for me. That being said the last verse of New York Soul pt ii changed my life!

So hard to pick a favourite song! I think the newer music is much "better" overall but I don't think I've listened to any other song more than "Kingdom Come" so I think it has to be that one for me

Human, 100%. I remember the song completely speaking to me as a very hypocritical teenager that perfectly expressed my situation. I’ve always knowned myself to be that way and want to change, but I never expected to find a song dedicated to it.

Such a hard decision, but I would say “The Wonder Years” for sure. No matter when in time you listen to it it’s still relevant and relatable to what’s going on in the world and personally my life. The chorus is so simple, yet so beautiful. I remember watching the making of this song and I’ll always hear that bottle of pills that he used as a maraca kind of shake sound in the chorus, so brilliant!

I've never and will never get over Mah's Joint. It's got a really special place for me. But all of Jon's works do, I can never skip a single one of his songs.

Stupid Deep was the first song to make me cry so it’s my favorite because it was able to awake an emotion that at the time was hard for me to express

You can only pick ONE. What is it and why?
wrote 27 days ago last edited by@BeautifulMind one is insane… but i would have to go with Carry Your Throne because it is the song that i discovered the GOAT on a youtube montage.

You can only pick ONE. What is it and why?
wrote 27 days ago last edited by@BeautifulMind so hard to pick…but my top 2 have to be Run Wild and The Good In Me. I got into Jon’s music big in college when I was going through a lot of mental struggle and pain and these are two songs that stuck with me big time
