as someone who moved 2,000 miles away from home to pursue my career, newyorksoul has always been one that just so perfectly hits that homesickness that never goes away, and it will always be a favorite.

You can only pick ONE. What is it and why?
wrote 25 days ago last edited by@BeautifulMind I think crop circles - I just thought it was so groovy

wrote 24 days ago last edited by@BeautifulMind for artists like Jon, who I longingly wait to release new music, there is only one song that is my fave … and that is the next release.
First - we have to recognize where the artists energy is right now. They are throwing everything they have into their future endeavors.
Second - while die hard fans love the oldies / rarities, that is not usually where the artists mind is. They are creators and are not looking to repaint a masterpiece. Again it is about what’s to come.
Third - there are certain artists that never disappoint - and it’s not because they have a “perfect formula” - it’s because they never stop evolving and growing. That is why @User12261990 is limitless - he sets no boundaries, there are no rules, and he follows where his mind and heart take him.“gorilla dad dawg spirit”

I have to give it to A Haunted House. With a quick look at his whole discography, that song sticks out to me as a MUST have. All the others I could debate about, but A Haunted House is so special to me for some reason. Might be because I connect to the lyrics or the mood shift once it plays creates a moment of peace. Whatever the reason is... I can't really place my finger on why it's my favorite, but it has been and always will be. ^^
It's all because of Jesus. Well done, welcome to Glory Sound Prep ヾ(⌐■_■)ノ♪

So many are tied for second, but Haunted House always makes me want to cry - it's so beautiful with the harmonies in the bridge. I've never been religious but I had a visceral reaction to hearing it the first time with base and clear speakers
wrote 24 days ago last edited by@Soupspoon I couldn't agree more, the waterworks are heavy with this one. It's my favorite too. ^^ゞ

first i want to say, i’ve never heard a jon bellion song i don’t like. like i’m not even trying to over praise him or anything. when i listen to his songs i listen to the albums, start to finish without skipping one song. he’s really good at what he does.
that being said, i’d say my favorite song is maybe idk. from a religious standpoint, having faith or avoiding sin is not easy. we’re human, we’re bound to make mistakes and life is full of so many uncertainties but listening to the song or singing out the lyrics gives me a lot of reassurance, especially the pre-chorus. (i guess if i knew tomorrow, i guess i wouldn’t need faith, i guess if i never fell, i guess i wouldn’t need grace, i guess if i knew his plans, i guess he wouldn’t be God) so maybe idk, but maybe that’s okay.
So whoever reads this, just trust God has the best plans for you, no matter how hard things may seem. and if you’re struggling with sin, you’re saved by God’s grace. if you let him. -

Fallen - it's so calming and ethereal. I used to listen to it on loop all day.

Wow there’s so many to choose from, but I ultimately think my favorite Jon B song is Eyes to the Sky. It’s really got a great youthful energy to it. It sounds and feels like how I feel right now. Scared about the future, but also excited for it as well. And I absolutely love the “You’re gonna be okay, kid” at the end. I discovered that song in 9th Grade, and now I’m in my first year of College. Still listening to it!

Hand of god -Outro
Is my favorite song. At first the song is simple and beautiful before growing more dynamic as each second passes. Then when the choir enters it elevates the song even further.
It has helped me through rough times and still does.Followed by All time low
Straight banger and the music video dropped on my birthday -

wrote 24 days ago last edited by@BeautifulMind Maybe IDK, for me as someone who feels a need to be in control of her life and plan for the future as much as I can this song make me feel that it is okay to not know how things will go in life but as long as you place your faith in God everything will be okay.

Maybe IDK and Stupid Deep - they speak to self-discovery, self-worth and the journey of life. Stupid Deep I cry at every time.

Human. I always either tear up or cry. It’s so honest and when I because diagnosed with Crohn’s disease in 2019 it felt more real.
Although I guess if I knew tomorrow
I guess I wouldn't need faith
I guess if I never fell, I guess I wouldn't need grace
I guess if I knew His plans, I guess He wouldn't be God, God, God -

This is quite literally impossible.
Overwhelming. DOPE. Hand of God.
But honestly, maybe Stupid Deep.

Currently, KID AGAIN!
Upon hearing the few seconds of that beat and guitar, I knew my heartstrings would immediately strum along!
It wasn’t very soon after listening to the song for the first time I had broken in tears wondering, “Oh My Love, What Happened To Your Light?”?When he had released the song, during that brief time I was unaware of the things that would spiritually falter, dampen my light and cause me to fall, but I said fuck it and woke up!
I feel the Yah(Weh) back in my Soul and am ever so learning to let it take control!I feel the YAH back in Control!
