What has been the hardest part about not being able to create content for yourself? I’m excited to see what the future brings for you. And sad as it’s been not having music from you it’s been a blessing to still have the other art you’ve created for others. Hearing you inside all the lyrics you master has brought a warm light knowing you’d be back one day

@User12261990 what are some of the themes/feelings you want to convey in the upcoming new music? Are you trying anything new sonically? I love and miss your “making of” videos. Your passion for music has fueled mine and I’ve loved growing up with you! You’re a big inspiration to me as an artist and a human being.

@jake.meredith_ I agree with Jon - we can't really avoid "doing the dance" at this point because so many folks are trained on algos, and the industry really relies on them (a little too heavily IMO). It won't feel like BS if the marketing is an extension of the art and music you're making. Make some kind of cool art or take some unique we've never seen before on these platforms and commit to that bit and be consistent, but then really utilize any kind of audience you're building to drive people either online to places like this (Discord and Reddit forums are your best bet for just starting out, livestreams like Twitch if you're keen on performingg) or drive them offline and figure out ways to interact IRL.

@danpurcell Yeah, honestly that being the case I’m just choosing to look forward to it and being able to be creative with the video and storyboarding process as well as the music behind it instead of dread the current state of advertising. Just gotta learn to walk that tight rope of being myself while also selling myself/my brand. I think before I was leaning too into the idea of selling myself instead of choosing to have fun with what I was making and showing my authentic side. The creativity and eye catching-ness was there, but not so much the authenticity which I think was what made it so soul sucking in the moment (though still a fun process). Now that it’s kinda been affirmed that to some extent that’s the current state of advertising and audience building, I’m definitely looking forward to see how I can get heads turning and break boundaries in both the music AND short form video side of things lol. Once I complete the album I’m working on I have a bunch of acapella arrangements I made from the Human Condition that I’d love to compile and film video for Jacob Collier style, so I think that’ll be pretty neat too. Looking forward to this next chapter, just gotta build my resume per se by making connections and finishing my current album. Also working to build a small audience to start and gradually grow over time through forums (like you mentioned, Discord, Reddit, etc) instead of only throwing stuff out there onto major media. If I’m playing the game Imma be strategic abt it

I feel like you're to most honest down to earth artist I know so I just wanted to ask the following: How dangerous is the music industry when it comes to keeping your morals and identity? Is it a constant intense battle or is there a way to find a safe space while still making music that reaches millions?

Any opportunities for meet and greets or verified fan things in the future/on tour? I agree w avoiding the algorithm and am so terrified of not getting tickets/getting to hear this new stuff live after being convinced for years that my 14 hr campout for GSP was the only one I would get to do.
This album is gonna take off in ways we all hope and yet are scared for, is there a way to do secured codes for a presale based on total listening time or something of that nature?
