App Logo Changing?

I call it a hunch, but I was able to download the forum as an actual app (maybe it's already a thing people have ) but I've noticed over time that the icon is a white circle with a grey square in the middle. Each day it seems to get smaller and the square is almost hard to see/disappearing... Am I the only one who sees it? Maybe a visual timer?

Do you use iOS or Android? I have an iPhone and can’t find the app but I know Apple kinda sucks when it comes to adding apps to the AppStore

Did you download it app or is it a bookmark? Cause on iPhones you can save bookmarks to your phone and they look like apps on your home screen. (Let me know if anyone wants an explanation of how to do it.)
