June 14, 2019, at MGM National Harbor

One of the greatest days of my life and some of my favorite pictures I've ever taken.
My friends in high school put me on The Human Condition. Completely changed my life. Listened to it every day on the way to school. We'd get together at each other's houses and play board games and just listen to Jon's music for HOURS. Press shuffle, see who can name a song first. So many wonderful memories.
I went to that concert in 2019 at MGM National Harbor in Maryland with one of those friends. We had the time of our lives. But one of the things I always loved was that it didn't matter what I was going through in life; Jon's music resonated with me.
Needed to get over a long-distance relationship, turned to Paper Planes. My grandma passed away in 2022; Mah's Joint. At my lowest, Weight of the World, Overwhelming, Maybe IDK, Stupid Deep. Heck, even when I visited New York for the first time — I couldn't get NewYorkSoul (& Pt. II) out of my head. And how could I forget The Right Direction? I also remember the night Glory Sound Prep dropped in 2018. I was a sophomore in college, my roommates were out of town and I pulled an all-nighter playing video games and listening to GSP on repeat. I was on top of the world that we had new music and fell in love with it immediately.
I don't know if you'll see this, Jon, but thank you for being you. Thank you for staying true to yourself. You've impacted so many people's lives, including mine, from the highest of highs to the lowest of lows. I know everyone else on here, like me, was sad over the last few years when there wasn't new music from you, but knowing you were doing what's best for yourself made me happy. And I'm so glad you're back and so thrilled this wonderful community is here for you like you never left. We love you.
