Hozier and Noah Kahan have been my go-tos lately!
-
@KteriN hell yeah. Hamilton totally counts, I grew up a theater kid and still jam Rent on the regular.
some artists I haven't heard of in that list, can't wait to check them out!
@jmckinney4123 Since they released the movie on Disney+, I've probably watched it 5 times or more.
Every other movie night now looks like this:
BF: What are we going to watch?
Me: Hamilton?
BF: No way, u'll cry at the end.
Me: Hell yes I willWe live in an age where everything is staged

@Gwenwantstodoodle both amazing, can't go wrong!
-
@Zeonder I gotta check some of these out! I've been so stuck on my go to playlists recently
-
Iβve never heard of Tash Sultana but will have to give a listen. I go through phases of new favorite artists/songs all the time (aside from JB). Currently Iβm listening to a lot of The Wrecks or NF in addition to some older TΓP songs
@Cassie looooove all 3 of those! I went through a huge NF phase

@jmckinney4123 bro if you want some real unbelievable R&B might I shed some light to Antoine Bradford, dude has UNPARALLELED LOCK on it rn
Boy Mystic raised from the Wilkins baby

@BlindFashion I've heard a few Kid Quill songs (Playlist comes to mind, which is a totally fun bop) but I've gotta do a deeper dive
@jmckinney4123 Playlist is on the album I reced. If you play it from start to finish it's designed like as if you were listening to a live raido station with a "DJ" or "voice announcer" talking in between every other song or so. Super cool concept of an album. If you like that then I'd rec "Sunset Diner" Sorta sotryline like 94.3 but a little more lose and less stuff in between songs!
If they don't feel your thoughts, start dreaming in braille

My number one (other than Jon) is Hozier, his Unreal Unearth album is phenomenal. Some others are: Halfβ’Alive, IDKHow, Stromae, Muse, Sufjan Stevens and some girl k-pop groups.
-
I am not going to lie, JB is always topping my charts. To the point where it doesn't seem like I am playing anybody else haha. Right now I'm into Russian Hyperpop or Russian hardbass, which is nothing like JB or even that style... Still go back to Jon every night on my drive home though

JB Enjoyer since 2017
Cause I had a fire, passion and desire
Now all I require are circuits and wires
Inside was an ocean of soul and emotion
Then you cut me open... -
My three favorites are Jon Bellion, Sampha, and Loyle Carner.
I was lucky enough to meet both Sampha and Loyle at the Oyafestival last summer, so I hope to meet Jon one day too. At least I got to see him live in Oslo when he did his GSP Tour which was incredible.
Other artist I love:
Bon Iver
Clairo
Mac Miller
The Japanese House

@martin_def broooo trust me, go play czar face vs metal face, SUCH A SLEPT ON ALBUM, I always get looked at craft when I say it but it seriously is the best album by him imo. Yes Iβve heard all the great mmm food to madvillainy joints, but that album is so fun

I just started with Jon and then went out into the rest of the beautiful mind family. Jon is obviously number one but I have Lawrence at a close second. The fact that Jon helps them out is just a bonus for me.
Like Alfred Hitchcock with the camera
Just blazin' Killer Cam with a sample
Both hands on the candle can't handle it -
Obviously we all have good taste in music - and through some other posts here I've been turned on to EDEN.
So who else are y'all listening to? Doesn't necessarily have to be similar to JB.
If you haven't, give Tash Sultana a listen
and give me your reccomendations! I need new tunes.
@jmckinney4123 so so so hard yes on EDEN. One of my besties at uni put me onto Jon (Ng not Bellion hehe) and I rlly haven't looked back. Getting to see the show he put on for ICYMI tour was UNBELIEVABLE. Crazy that I got to take it all in twice, lol. Albert Hall Manchester + KOKO London went so crazy!!
How do u reckon the new stuff compares to the older work?
all my love, in spite of it all
