All this talk about the Cove City concert made me want to share this story
Me and my sister both went in on tickets for the virtual concert in 2020, and planned to watch it on our TV in our home theatre. My dad is obsessed with upgrading his home theatre so the setup was SICK. He has two subs and surround sound, and a really good receiver (I'm not educated in the specs but I do know he spends a lot of money and time making it sound really good) My dad helped us set up the stream so we could experience the sound the best we could, so trust me when I say it really felt like Jon was performing in our living room.
At the start of the concert it was just me and my sister watching, but soon enough my dad did that dad thing where he doesn't sit down on the couch but he kinda lingers to the side staring at the TV while standing. Well eventually he gave in and watched the rest of the concert. He even stuck around for the after party because he was just so curious about this artist his kids like and was invested in the way Jon just LOVES what he does. My dad kept saying "you can really tell he loves the music" and I was so glad I had an opportunity to share my interests with him in such a way that really shows who Jon is and what his music stands for.
He bought all his albums and he's excited for new stuff btw. He's 54. If you come to Utah for a concert he would also really like to go
