Drum Plugin/Sample Library Suggestions?

@User12261990 I am DYING to know how/where you find all these nutty drum plugins/samples (other than ones you create from scratch since obviously those aren’t available). A lot of my projects either start with some random spark of melody inspiration OR fooling around on drums till something really nutty or magical comes together. Your drum sounds always blow me away so I’d love to hear your suggestions or how you source them (though I know obviously more work is probably done to them other than just using the plugin sound to kinda craft it more to what each song needs). Thanks!!

beautiful mind, you already know
still trying to find out what happened to Looking For A Place To Land and Michigan Sky (also trying to convince Jon to leak Break These Walls) -
Yes would love to hear that — I’m a big fan of “digging through samples until I find something really sick, be it loops or one shots.”
I really want to gravitate towards generating my own live drum samples down the line for the next project, but the last things I worked on were all tied into using either @tenroc samples he sells on his store or samples that one producer The Kount sells on his store. I really found the “thickness” and “snappiness” I was looking for through their samples and it’s def gonna inform how I treat future live samples.

@danpurcell oh that’s sick, I didn’t realize Tenroc sold samples, I’ll def be checking those out. I love that resources like Splice also exist, I just hate subscriptions cause doing this while in college (especially engineering since it’s not music related) takes away a lot of time from potentially working on beats, so if I pay for a subscription but don’t use it effectively I feel like I’m throwing money away
. That’s been my core reasoning for avoiding subscription based stuff, so I’ll def check out Tenroc’s sample stuff

@jake.meredith_ also peep The Kount, those samples are also one time purchases usually and have a GREAT variety of sounds to sample

@jake.meredith_ he always said he starts with drums then goes to melody in the old making of videos but I’m sure that’s changed so much throughout the years was probably just a nice consistency back then, but yeah I would love to know this too, if it’s just connections that send him dope samples or a certain place or person he goes to for them
