What's the biggest change you've seen in music?
-
We've all witnessed so much music history over the years. From game-changing albums to emerging artists pushing boundaries, the landscape of music has definitely shifted. It feels like we're living in a completely different world now compared to when we first started this journey together, with all the advances in technology and how music is consumed.
So, looking back, what do you think is the biggest change you've seen in music or the music industry over the last 10 years? Whether it’s the rise of streaming platforms, the shift in how artists connect with fans, or the way music is created and shared—what stands out to you the most?
And with technology moving so fast, do you think the art of making music is at risk? With AI, digital tools, and apps making the process quicker and more accessible, are we losing something essential in the "grind" of creating music? Or do you think it’s just another evolution in how music is made?
"I’m not perfect, but I’m worth it." (灬º‿º灬)♡

I think the longevity of artists is what’s affected the most. We barely get albums with a coherent theme or story, most albums are just a bunch of Isingles put together with a coherent sound but I miss being excited about the storytelling of an album. Artists are forced to pump out quantity over quality to stay in the conversation and although some can manage, I think we miss out on artists who need time because they don’t get the attention since they don’t participate in the rat race.

@Pickle I feel like they've industrialized it in a way. almost like the top artists and labels have a monopoly grip over the industry. the quality has declined but that's probably because it's not about the quality as much anymore. they are seemingly just trying to push out easy, cheap, repeatable music that makes a profit and sadly people still will pay for it. A lot of industries seem to be taking this approach on when it comes to their products lol.
