What should a young artist beware of while signing with the label? Aside from the fact that they'll try to milk you lol
If you were to go back in time, what would you do different when it comes to your contracts negotiations and all that?I'm in this situation rn but I'm trying to make the best of it with the educated approach

Categories will consistently change depending on the roll out. But if their is a category yall would want to have me speak on or interact with (ex: sonic approach, lyric explanation, intention and purpose of certain songs, equipment used, DAW details, Synth parameters, vocal presets, sample references, mix intentions, vocal approaches) suggest them here.
@User12261990 I'd love to have a category for questions about the meaning and thoughts behind different songs you've made! (I myself am particularly curious about Fashion)

@User12261990 Hey Jon, I’m 18 and recently started producing in Logic. I have lots of ideas that I really love the sound of, but I find it really hard to stick with one and build it out into a finished song, do you have any tips to keep a song interesting to you while you finish it, wether its lyrics or production?

@Caillou I second this. I recently bought a Mac, XLR microphone, Akai MPK Mini Mk3, Focusrite Scarlett 2i2, and Logic Pro. While creating is fun overall, I consistently struggle to build on original ideas.

Hearing Levantate and wake up throughout the last productions had been having me really try to draw closer to God to wake up myself, what do you think you’ve found help you wake up in your life? Meditation, Bible, Family? Or any specific moments? I ask this from a place of needing to grow up but not lose that kid in me. God is the answer, maybe I just need more patience and to throw on timeless lol.
“ My soul began to break
From underneath the weight
Of tryna keep the pace
But that road went on and on
I could've tried to run
But to stay forever young
Is a war that's never won
And time is just way too strong”

Would love to know more about Meant to Live and hopefully hear it live at whatever big show you do this year! What made you want to do an orchestral stripped back version rather than your usual production? That collaboration was so surreal to me. My dad passed away back in 2021 and I grew up on Switchfoot and that song because of him. Then all of the sudden my favorite artist of all time is covering it in such a beautiful way. Could not stop the tears from flowing, especially after watching the music video. Listening to it is one of the ways I still feel connected with my dad and keep his memory alive. Just wanted to say thank you man, been a fan since 2015.

@Sherlocker I organized a Reddit group for the artists and producers who are on this forum. Feel free to check it out at beautifulmindinspired on Reddit.

@User12261990 I run my college radio station's podcast, I'd love to have you on. Got Judah Lee Akres on recently and asked him about Passion Fashion. You actually played at my school on the Definition Tour

I’m curious as to if you would ever be willing to have a fan see the production process. It’s something that I’m sure everyone can agree is so intriguing. Seeing the whole process as it unfolds and the way everything works together. Kind of like the making of videos.
