How Has Jon’s Work Influenced You?

Curious to know how everyone’s been affected by his artistic journey! I remember first hearing Paper Planes, Wutup Snow, and Dead Man Walking. I loved the music but I had no idea Jon Bellion would be my top played artist for the next 10+ years. New York Soul, pt ii solidified his position as my favorite artist, along with pretty much every other track on THC. I still get chills listening to Hand of God.
I’m a musician, singer and aspiring producer. And I’d be lying if I didn’t say Jon Bellion isn’t the reason for that. His heart for the music and the people he makes it for stirs something in me. And being able to witness his creative process through making of videos is unreal. I’ve always believed in God and songs like Human, Weight of the World, and Maybe IDK have helped me in my faith walk so much. Jon’s also inspired my songwriting by allowing me to realize I can still honor God with my music even if I’m not making typical “worship” music.
So stoked for new music. Fingers crossed he decides to play some shows in Florida! Much love to my fellow fans

my friend put me on to jon when I was 15. he found him from a post that logic made I think. I legit started producing because of this dude. those “the making of videos” inspired me soooo much as a kid. I still produce to this day. I think jon’s music put me on to so much other insane artists and music. I can’t even replicate the bounce in jon’s records from 2014 to this day lol. bro is an alien and is insanelyyyyy inspiring. i’ve lived life to his records. from the definition, to thc, gsp. I even got gsp merch that can’t even fit me anymore lol. I really do appreciate bro’s work ethic and talent

I made this post on the little site demo 3 days ago, but I'll repost it here because it fits this question.
In 2013 like alot of you I was (to my mums dismay, shoutout to the bro) obsessed with Call of Duty, I'd get home everyday from primary school and pop on whatever new video any guy in that era of FaZe had just dropped. FaZe Rain was my favourite, easily. When Rain hit 100k, he dropped his 100k Montage, and in that montage he used LIFE, from Translations through speakers. When I tell you that I spent that ENTIIIRE afternoon spam repeating that song, I'd be underselling, it was instant obsession, and it didn't just start an obsession with Jon. I grew up in a music family, my parents always had music playing but obviously it wasnt anything "new" sounding, atleast to my gen z ass. dont get me wrong, bangers, stevie wonder, bill withers, silverchair, nina simone, amy winehouse, kings of leon, etc etc, but my only real exposure to modern music/"good" pop music was through whatever was getting radio play which in NZ leaves not that much to be desired. I truly think discovering Jon jumpstarted an appreciation for seeking music for me, I was obsessively finding every track on YouTube I could of his, but also just any artist, and any song I could come across and feel like I found it on my own. I also believe it made me far more appreciative of good production and funky rhythms, and that's still a huge thing for me when it comes to music I really like.

In 2016, my boyfriend at the time introduced me to THC, and I loved it. Anywhere we went, we only listened to JB in the car. After he and I broke up, we had already bought tickets to his concert in Chicago, so we went together as exes, and I don’t regret a single moment! That night, nothing else mattered but our shared love of Jon’s music. We danced in each others’ arms to our song, Overwhelming, and ultimately had an incredible night. We never did get back together but my love for Jon has only grown stronger and stronger since!!
I’m someone that gets chills and goosebumps when I hear music, stories, etc that really resonate with me, and I get chills with every single song. There’s not a single thing that Jon has created that doesn’t fill my heart with joy. His music is the only thing that gives my ADHD brain the dopamine it craves, and it will forever be on repeat in my life and in my beautiful mind

@jessjurak putting everything aside and have one last dance with your boyfriend because you guys love him that much is powerful, that must've softened the bad parts of the break up so well.
