In summer of 2016, 3 months before Human Condition was released, I saw Jon Bellion play for 100 people in Lebanon Valley College, a small college in central PA. I had just turned 16, and the venue was filled with college students who were intoxicated looking for a good time. Not me. This was the night of my life.
Jon came on after Aaron Carter (R.I.P to Carter fr), and played Life, Superman, and even played Guillotine live for what I believe to be the first performance. My young adulthood was complete. When the concert ended, I was social terrified of the college students and my mom wasn’t coming to pick me up for an hour, so my friends and I hid in the woods.
In the woods, I realized I needed to take a shit. I went to whipe my shit with a leaf, and got a smudge of poop on my right palm. It was gross, and I felt defeated. We decided to head back into the venue to wash my hands. As I walked in, I saw Black Keyz and Jon’s guitarist at the time (I think his name was Scooch). When I saw them, I geeked and forgot everything. I yelled out, “SCOOOOOOOCH!” and dapped him up. He then dapped me up, and I had forgotten I had shit on my hand. When he looked down at his hand, I panicked, and ran. Luckily at that point, my mom had picked me up. Best concert of my life.
Sincerely,
Beautiful Dong
