Jon Bellion and similar artists "genre"?

I've noticed the proportion of Jon/@User12261990 fans who also happen to like artists like AJR, TOP, NF, Quinxcii, and a few others is rather odd. These people aren't classically just one "genre", so what puts them all in the same category that so many people like?
Best I've noticed so far is that they all tend to use very orchestral sounds and instrumentation, often like movie soundtracks. (although this isn't always the case..?)

their sound is just unique, thats all I guess. You can tell they enjoy making music. Each song is different and not generic.
