When did you discover Jon?

I discovered Jon in high school (I’m 25) with All Time Low and fell in love with his music ever since. His music has always been in its own category for me.

I was 19 when I discovered Jons music that was back in November 2012 and man what I can I say, the journey through his beautiful minds creations has gotten me thus far through life. Jon your soul has touched mine and saved me in more ways than I could ever thank you. I patiently awaiting for more of the mastermind genius you've always got brewing up the next big thing. Forever and always a fan also please come to Canada!

2014 for me at Wireless Festival in the UK. Jon was opening and I’ve never been so glad to get to a festival so early. Managed to catch him a couple more times on tour in Birmingham since. The YT making of videos really got me hooked on his genius

Hehe I'd say 2015 a friend of mine looks at my type of music and he told me I'd definitely be a huge JB fan, and Send me Simple and Sweet...I was locked in ever since...And I'm glad he knows he has a huge fan base here in Nigeria.

I found out about Jon in college my sophomore or junior year I think (so 2014 or 2015) through a friend of mine. He started playing “Luxury” one night and it’s been a wrap since then

Around 2018, then went to explore more prog rock stuff, and then dived deep back hard last year

I 'discovered' Jon, only a couple of years ago, during covid days, when I was in need of finding new music to listen to. I am glad I did.
-
when he opened for twentyonepilots on their emotional roadshow tour, it was the best opening act I’ve ever seen in my lifeee

First time I heard Jon was in 2014 - Carry your throne. Dated a guy who loved him. Also heard Munny Right which I played on repeat but never really took the time to explore his discography. Human Condition dropped, I went down the rabbit hole, saw talent like never before and I’ve been obsessed ever since
️. I’ve always wanted to go to a show of his but I’m not sure he’ll come to Winnipeg.

It wasn’t til 2018 or 2019. I had been a fan of Alec Benjamin so I was on YouTube searching for his unreleased music and features. I came across NY Soul Pt 2 and was like “Damn
Who’s Jon Bellion?” So I went to Spotify to see if I knew any of his music. I knew All Time Low and Beautiful Now, which were songs I enjoyed. So it was a no brainer to listen to his entire discography of gold.
¡Levántate!

I heard All Time Low on the radio in December 2016 for the first time when I was visiting Kentucky. It sounded so good that I was hooked for a while. Eventually forgot about him (unfortunately), but I rediscovered him in 2021 after figuring out what song went "lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo-lo", and ever since then I've been hooked!

I actually discovered Jon through Andy Mineo. They’re both two of my favorite artists and they have a INCREDIBLE song together called “Rat Race” off Andy’s “Uncomfortable” album. I remember watching on YouTube how it was made, and listening to the song itself and thinking “Who is this dude?? His voice is crazy to me. Very unique and rich.” Soon after, I looked Jon up, heard “Guillotine” (one of my favorite records) around the time “The Human Condition” was set to be released and I INSTANTLY became a fan. As a songwriter, artist, and producer myself? It’s a dream of mine to meet him someday, sit and talk with him and just pick his brain. He and I create and feel music in similar ways so if even had the chance to just sit in a room with him during a session and just watch him create? I’d be extremely grateful for even just 5 minutes of that.

About 6 1/2 years ago at this point, sophomore year of college, I was riding in an acquaintance's car for club event and All Time Low and Jim Morrison came on his car's shuffle. Something clicked and the back of my mind told me to dig deeper into this Jon Bellion guy I'd never heard of. Haven't looked back since, and it's pretty wild looking back at the small, seemingly meaningless moments that can end up influencing your life in the biggest ways. It's one of those funny things where I wonder if I ever would've discovered Jon if I didn't ride in that car that day and how different my life and love of music would be.
