Back in the day, when I was in a boarding school, we lived in huge dormitories with 50+ kids. We didn't have no internet and shit, had to download songs on a USB stick to then play on the deck connected to the TV. That's how we vibed. In 2017, we used to watch this only channel that worked called VH1. It was a music channel that played Billboard top 100. And there, ladies and gentlemen, came on All Time Low. Instant classic. Got the whole school bopping. Then one by one, we'd go to the computer lab and see that this Bellion guy has other songs as well, let's get 'em. We got guillotine, woke the f up, hand of God, human. Man, that's all I ever knew about Jon's discography in that year. Then in the subsequent year we listened to Dead man Walking, Run Wild, Simple and Sweet, Jim Morrison, Morning in America, iRobot. It was the shit man! Nobody said a thing when Jon was on. Pure musical genius bro. We'd never heard portrayed in such a distinct manner. We loved it all. All the beats and background vocals from his voice, him boasting, his relationship with Christianity (nobody was Christian here, but it is hella fire), everything man. Oh man what I wouldn't give to listen to your music with all my homies from my hostel bro. Bless you Jon, thanks for giving us so many memories. Cheers on the new album!
