Being completely void of social media and no streaming on my phone I’m wildly interested to see what this body sounds like against new music Friday or something
Jon you say this as if you don't keep with the current trends in music (which you know, you confirmed by saying "I don't have streaming on my phone" LOL) and while I see that portion of "how it goes up against New Music Friday," and you not listening to what's new or current, you gotta know that you've really set the stage for what has become "trending." in recent years. In the last 6 years, you have steadily come to define a countermovement within pop music that discards the bland, stock sound that's come to represent "pop." For me, I don't even like to tell people I listen to "pop music," because it's so much more and so much deeper than that. Thanks to you, you have made this genre of music so much more deeper and meaningful through your collaborations with artists like Jonas Brothers, Tori Kelly, Halsey, Maroon Five, and on and on. So it would be fair to say that this record, which will be years ahead of what we currently have (a safe bet to say considering the sounds you achieved in The Human Condition are only starting to become a current trend in music today), will completely fly by the trends of today and really elevate music to a whole new level.
And i think it will be really interesting to see how musicians and producers, especially already those established in the music industry and with a fanbase already behind them, take to this record and go about "replicating" it in their own sounds. Here's to hoping though they aren't corny haha
